The Swiss Cheesecakes' story begins in 1986 in Yankalilla, a country town in one of South Australia’s prime dairy and tourism regions earing both the 2004 and 2005 D.I.A.A (Dairy Industries of Australia) awards.
Five Star executive chef, Alan Davis, became convinced that the strong demand for his cheesecakes was evidence of a niche in the catering market.
As a result of continued growth and Adelaide being the target market, the company moved into it’s current premises at 146 Findon Rd, Findon, South Australia where they have been for 7 years.
While the success of Swiss Cheesecakes' owes much to the enduring popularity of the cheesecake itself, Alan Davis believes his company is flourishing due to three other key factors:
-
Consistency – product consistency is paramount to Swiss Cheesecakes’ future growth plan. The unique recipe and hand made concept are fundamental elements of this factor.
-
Service – this is considered an equally important factor behind the success to date because our happy, loyal clients have driven strong word-of-mouth advertising which has in turn driven strong repeat sales.
-
Ethics – at the core of the Swiss Cheesecakes' success story is a solid foundation of good business ethic in which relationships are highly valued with customers, suppliers and staff.
